Water Resources East, a membership organisation for the water authorities in the region, has consulted on its emerging water resources plan for the East of England.
The Green Party welcomes the draft plan as a long-overdue strategic approach to water planning in our region. However, the plan falls short of recognising the urgency of the water crisis and the fact that planned levels of development are incompatible with addressing it. We reiterate our call for a pause and rethink on development plans in Greater Cambridge.
